Expertise and Experience

James began his career in accountancy at the age of 17, working as a bookkeeper at local firm of accountants. He joined Thomas Coombs in February 2018 and works in the Tax and Trust team.

Heading our Trusts and Estates department James is involved with handling the annual compliance of the firm’s sizeable portfolio of Trusts and Estates.

James is heavily involved with strategic trust planning and advice whilst working closely with leading private client solicitors across Yorkshire. In addition to this he provides Executors with meaningful tax advice relating to Estate administration.

He provides guidance on all aspects of taxation and trust administration matters whilst also being experienced in advising individuals seeking personal tax advice.

James deals with personal taxation matters for sole traders, company directors, landlords and high net worth individuals, as well corporate tax issues for small companies.
